Blackpool Magic Convention
At the end of February I attended the world famous Blackpool Magicians Convention. A chance to meet old friends, learn some new magic and see some of the best magicians in the world performing.
Here we are taking our seats for the final Gala show – not the best seats in the house, but a great show anyway.
Charity Shows
Recently I performed my cabaret act on 4 consecutive nights as part of a fundraising show at the Sarah Thorne Memorial Theatre Broadstairs at the end of December and helped raise money for various charities.
December 30, 2009Allan Appears on Children in Need
On Friday 14th November Allan appeared on BBC Children in Need with the rest of the Southern Sorcerers to present a cheque for £560. He even had a chance to perform some magic for the cameras.
The money was raised by the Southern Sorcerers during their recent Magic & Variety Show at the Birchington Village Centre.

April 13, 2008Blackpool Magic Convention 2008
I have just returned from another fantastic weekend at the Blackpool Magicians Convention. After a very long, but thankfully uneventful drive we joined about 2000 other magicians eager to see some of the world’s best magic acts at the world’s biggest magic convention.
During the day there were competitions, lectures and shows to see and over 100 magic dealers eager to take all our money, which as usual, they did very successfully. After the evening shows we returned to our hotel where we had the chance to meet up with old friends and show off our latest magic tricks until the early hours of the morning.
February 26, 2008New Years Eve 2006
If you want the chance to see either Allan or Mitch during December they are booked for close-up magic at Dover Town Hall on 21st/22nd December and at the Captain Digby in Broadstairs on New Years Eve.
Allan will also be doing close-up magic and balloon modelling at the Mayors Dinner in Deal on the 8 December.
November 22, 2006Family Magic & Variety Show 2005
Every two years the Southern Sorcerers put on a variety show at the Theatre Royal in Margate, featuring magic, music and comedy. On Saturday 24th September we perfomed again to a packed house to raise money for the Sally Pugh Memorial Fund.
The show was compered by Allan who introduced magic from Colin Hoult, Mitch Cook, John and Shelley Lycett, Ian Clack, Chris Davison and Loki, all of whom are members of the Southern Sorcerers.
The show also included guest performances by the A’la Mode Dancers, the singing of talents Corrine Heady, Young Magician of the Year finalist Jonathon Shotten and the ever popular juggling and comedy of Michael Pearce.
The Southern Sorcerers would like to thank all those that took part and everyone who supported the show, which managed to raise over £600 for the charity, making it one of our most successful shows to date.
